Frequently Asked Questions
How do I play?
Every level opens with a short preview that shows you the whole board face-up. Then the cards turn over and it’s on you. Tap a card to flip it, tap a second to look for its match — matched pairs stay up, and the level ends the moment the board is clear. Boards start at a gentle 2×2 and grow from there.
What counts as a flip?
Every card you turn over is one flip, matched or not. A perfect run is two flips per pair, so a 6-pair board can in theory be cleared in 12.
How are stars awarded?
Every level has a par — a flip budget with some room on top of a perfect run, because no one remembers a whole board first time. Clear it within par for three stars, within 1.2× par for two stars, and anything beyond that still earns one star for finishing. Your best result per level is what’s kept, so replaying a level can only improve your rating.
How is my score calculated?
A level is worth 10 points cleared in three stars, 7 in two stars, and 5 in one. Only your best result per level counts, so replaying a level you’ve already cleared adds points only if you beat your previous rating. Three-starring all 1,000 levels is a perfect 10,000.
Can I lose a level?
Yes, in three ways: turning over more mismatched pairs than the level allows, running out the clock on levels that have one, or running out of flips. All three scale with the size of the board, and the level simply restarts — nothing is taken away from you.
What are the different world mechanics?
Each world plays by its own rule on top of ordinary matching — Timed Peek, Fog of War, Mirage, Chain Combo, Freeze, Shuffle, Mixed, Lava, and Darkness. Iron is Classic, so you learn the game before it starts changing on you.
What are boss levels?
Every tenth level tightens the screws — a bigger board with about 20% less time on the clock. They’re the checkpoint for whether the world’s mechanic has actually clicked.
How do the worlds work?
MemoVision has 10 worlds — from Iron to Legend — each with 100 levels. The Iron world is completely free, all 100 levels. For every other world, level 1 is free to try, and the remaining 99 levels are unlocked with a one-time purchase — either that single world, or every paid world at once with the all-worlds bundle.
Do I have to finish one world before starting another?
No. Progression runs within a world: level 1 of every world is always open, and each later level unlocks when you clear the one before it in that same world. Buying a world makes it immediately playable regardless of how far you’ve come elsewhere.
What are reveal credits?
A reveal credit shows you the whole board face-up again on a level you’re stuck on. Spending a credit unlocks that level’s reveal permanently, so you can use it again any time at no further cost. You start with one credit, and more can be purchased in packs of 1, 5, or 10.
How do I sync my progress across devices?
MemoVision uses iCloud to sync your progress automatically. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account on all your devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled for MemoVision. Completions, star ratings, best scores, reveal credits, and unlocked reveals all follow you between iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.
I lost my progress. Can I recover it?
Your progress is stored in iCloud. If you reinstall the app on a device signed in to the same Apple Account, your progress should restore automatically. Sync can take a moment after a fresh install — if it doesn’t appear, please contact us at the email above.
I bought a world but it’s still locked. What do I do?
Open Settings → Restore Purchases, or the Restore Purchases button on any purchase screen. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on any device signed in to it, at no extra cost.
Does resetting my progress remove my purchases?
No. Settings → Reset All Progress clears level completions, star ratings, and scores only. Purchased worlds, reveal credits, and previously unlocked reveals are never revoked.
Purchases are greyed out or the store says they’re turned off. Why?
The device is set to block in-app purchases — usually through Screen Time. On the device, open Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → iTunes & App Store Purchases and check that In-App Purchases is set to Allow. If you use Ask to Buy, a purchase instead waits for the family organizer’s approval, and the world or credits arrive on their own once it’s approved. Level 1 of the world stays free to play while you wait.
The music or sound effects aren’t playing.
Check Settings → Audio, where music and sound effects have separate switches. Also make sure your device isn’t in silent mode and that another app isn’t holding the audio session.
Can I change how the app looks?
Yes — Settings → Appearance offers System, Light, and Dark. System follows your device setting.
Does MemoVision work offline?
Yes. Every board is built on your device from the level number itself, so nothing needs downloading and you can play with no network connection. An internet connection is only needed to sync progress via iCloud and to make or restore purchases.
Is MemoVision accessible?
The app is built with SwiftUI and follows the system text sizes, so it responds to Dynamic Type. Menus, world rows, level cells, and the in-game toolbar carry VoiceOver labels and hints. If there’s an accessibility improvement that would help you play, please write to us — we want to hear about it.
Is my data shared with third parties?
No. MemoVision does not collect personal information or share any data with third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
